County Attorney

The County Attorney is appointed by the Board of Supervisors, and is responsible for providing legal advice and services to the Board of Supervisors and County staff. This includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, litigation, real estate transactions, and other civil matters.

Criminal prosecutions are handled by the Commonwealth's Attorney, an elected constitutional officer.
