Freeloader Service

The Freeloader is a drop-off trailer that is placed at your residence for a period of approximately 24 hours so that you may load your own materials. This is a free service to Roanoke County residents, however, the freeloader is very popular and is "booked" several weeks (or sometimes months for weekends) in advance.

When calling to schedule the Freeloader, please be aware that no building material may be placed in the trailer or any other uncollectible item. If those types of materials are in the Freeloader when the driver returns to collect the trailer, the trailer will be immediately dumped at the residence or the resident may be charged for the removal of the debris. The Freeloader is delivered on the scheduled day between 8 a.m. and 12 noon and an adult must be at the residence to sign the necessary papers.
