Holiday Schedule

The Roanoke County holiday trash collection schedule is as follows:

Martin Luther King Day - January 19, 2009
All routes are on regular schedule. 

Presidents' Day - February 16, 2009
All routes are on regular schedule. 

Memorial Day - May 25, 2009
All routes will be one day late.

Independence Day - July 3, 2009
All routes are on regular schedule.

Labor Day - September 7, 2009
All routes will be one day late.

Veterans' Day - November 11, 2009
All routes are on regular schedule.

Thanksgiving Week Collection Schedule (November 23 - 27, 2009)
Monday routes will be collected on Monday, November 23, 2009.
Tuesday routes will be collected on Monday,  November 23, 2009.
Wednesday routes will be collected on Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
Thursday routes will be collected on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.

There will be no bagged leaf collection the week of Thanksgiving.  All offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday (November 26 and 27, 2009) for the holiday. 

Christmas Day - December 25, 2009
All routes will be on regular schedule.

Collection schedules will be shown on this website, Channel 3 - RVTV - the government access channel on Cox Communications and Comcast Cable, and the Roanoke Times. Also, you can subscribe to the "Office Closings for Holiday and Weather" category on our County Calendar to receive e-mail reminders of the schedules.
