Enjoy a day at the beach without the drive... at Splash Valley Water Park!

Splash Valley is a fantastic new place to bring your family to cool off this summer.  Featuring two 34-foot high water slides, a current river, and a children's play area with spray features, Splash Valley is fun for everyone!  Please note that  admission to Splash Valley does not include admission to the Green Ridge indoor center.  Follow the links below for more information.

Splash Valley  Features & Attractions

Bowl Slide:
A 34-foot high bowl slide that sends you on a fast trip down an enclosed tube, then spins you around in the open air to an exciting drop at the bottom.

Flume Slide:
A 34- foot high enclosed flume slide full of twists and turns to keep you guessing as you speed to the bottom in a splash.


Starter Slide:
A 6-foot high starter slide for kids young and old who are not quite ready to take on 3 and a half stories of fun.

Zero Depth Entry Leisure Pool:
Great for youth just learning to swim or adults with mobility issues, our pool starts at ground level and goes to a max depth of 4 feet.

SprayGround:
A children's water play area full of fountains, pouring buckets, water cannons, slides, and places to climb or crawl.  Get cool, fast!


Current River:
Relax and let the flow of the current take you away, or race your friends to the end of the river.

Concessions Area:
Working up an appetite?  Splash Valley has a wide range of food and beverage options on-site to keep your tank full for more water fun.

*Roanoke County Residents and Super Splash members of Green Ridge Recreation Center can enjoy an extra hour of fun from 11:00am-12:00pm these days.  Proof of residency is required at gate.  Driver's license or other form of ID with a valid address.

Where is Splash Valley?

Splash Valley is located directly adjacent to Roanoke County's Green Ridge Recreation Center.  From Interstate 581, take exit 2 North onto Peters Creek Rd.  At  the first stoplight turn left onto Valleypointe Parkway. Travel 0.7 miles to intersection with Woodhaven Road.  Center is across the street.  MAP ONLINE using Google Maps

Splash Valley Closure Policy

If there is a possibility of inclement weather, or air temperature below 70 degrees when you visit Splash Valley, we recommend you call our automated phone line at (540) 387-6455 ext. 5 for updates about closure.  If you would like to speak with an employee, please call Green Ridge Recreation Center at (540) 777-6300 ext. 0.  Air temperature must be 70 degrees to open Splash Valley. Facilities may close due to cool or dangerous weather, rain, or low attendance. Splash Valley may not open on days when the high temperature is below 75 degrees.  In the event of inclement weather which may include thunder, lightening, or heavy rain that limits lifeguard visibility, the aquatic areas of the park will be cleared. In the event that a serious storm or unsafe situation arises, we will also clear all pool decks and direct guests to their vehicles until the deck is safe, the storm passes, or Splash Valley decides to close for the day.   If Splash Valley closes a Rain Ticket will be issued or if space allows the indoor facility can be used. If a Rain Check is given, please keep your receipt for Rain Check entry on an alternate day. Splash Valley does not issue refunds for any reason.

Splash Valley Weekday Fun Pass!

We're excited to announce a great new way to enjoy Splash Valley.  Beginning Monday, July 19 you can purchase a 15-Punch-Pass at the Splash Valley admission gate, or Green Ridge front desk.  Use the pass on weekdays only to admit your friends at a discounted rate.

How much does it cost?
• Green Ridge members (regardless of residency) and all Roanoke County residents -  $75
• Non-county residents who are not Green Ridge members -  $105 

What you should know:
• Punches do not have any age restrictions and may be used to admit entry for your family or friends.
• Each punch pass purchase carries 15 individual admissions
• Your punch pass is useable on weekdays ONLY! 
• The pass expires September 3, 2010, unused punches are forfeited.
• No refunds will be given. 
• All regular Splash Valley entry rules apply.

Splash Valley Rules and Regulations

• Children 12 AND UNDER must be supervised by a paying guardian 16 years or older.
• Coolers/ice chests, playpens, tents or pop-ups are not permitted. Patrons may bring in approved chairs.
• Outside food or drinks are not permitted.
• Personal floats, toys, beach balls, large rafts, masks, snorkels and fins are not permitted.
• Coast Guard approved life jackets are accepted. Personal Flotation Devices / Life Vests are available upon request at GUEST SERVICES.
• Children still in diapers and incontinent adults must wear swim diapers and bathing suits or tight fitting plastic pants. Cloth and disposable diapers are prohibited.
• Persons with skin infections, open wounds, ear or nasal discharge, diarrhea, or other communicable diseases are not permitted in the pool.
• All patrons must wear bathing suits in the pool at all times. Colored t-shirts, pants or cut-offs are not permitted in the pool.
• Bathing suits with floats, exposed metal rivets or metal parts are not permitted.
• In the event of inclement weather, the pool may be closed. No refunds will be issued.
• Large slides require users to be at least 48 inches in height to be able to ride.
• No portable sound amplification devices for music allowed (i.e. boom boxes, iPod docking stations, etc.)
• Safety breaks will occur at 10 minutes to the top of the hour. Children under the age of 18 must stay out of the water during these breaks. Adults and infants 2 years and under may swim during this time. Slides will remain open during safety breaks.
• Splash Valley is a NON-SMOKING facility

Maximum Capacity
On those occasions when Splash Valley reaches maximum capacity, those patrons waiting in line will be allowed in when space is available.

Re-Entry Policy
Patrons leaving who wish to return the same day must have a hand stamp. If Splash Valley is at capacity, returning patrons must wait in line to be re-admitted.
