Trails & Greenways
Roanoke County is committed to creating and maintaining places for its residents to bike, walk and enjoy the beauty of nature. The County continues to improve its trails system, both within parks and through a regional greenway effort. The Roanoke Valley Greenway program is a regional effort to connect the valley with a system of bicycle/pedestrian trails. These pages contain maps and directions to some of the County's best walking and hiking spots. Find a greenway in your neighborhood and join the volunteers helping to build greenways and trails.
