What is Enchanted Eve?
Enchanted Eve is an alcohol free New Year's Eve celebration held in downtown Vinton. This year, "Travel through time" and enjoy fantastic activities and entertainment for all ages, no matter what the weather. Downtown Vinton will be magically transported through 10 decades of fun and merriment. There will be special attractions, games, music, parades, food, live entertainment and fireworks at midnight. The fun starts December 31 at 6:00pm. Follow us on twitter for updates about this year's event!

Event buttons are required for admission to Enchanted Eve.

All seats for performances are general admission. Indoor venues are heated, but a few activities and food vendors are located outside. Layered clothing is recommended. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Decades of Fun
1900's - Old West Dance Hall and Casino
Here you’ll find all your favorite casino games, fabulous entertainment and music galore! Try your luck at the tables or enjoy the music while you watch horse racing or football on a giant TV. If it’s unparalleled entertainment you want to feast your eyes on Jessie and James and the Gang. Audiences of all ages will be on the edge of their seats as a barrage of comedy, juggling, audience play and amazing dog feats have you laughing out loud and stomping your feet in true Old West style.
1920's - Jazz Club and Speak Easy
Enjoy the traditional sounds of the local duo “Simply Jazz” as well as other Jazz musicians playing a variety of your favorite Jazz numbers! Come on in and relax and let the night slip away.
1930's-1940's - Traveling Circus
Come join us and experience the fabulous 40’s when traveling circuses were the talk of the town. Entertainment abounds with jugglers, magicians, ventriloquists, puppet shows, a caricature artist and more! Enjoy making your very own souvenirs of your time at the circus and be sure not to miss any of the excitement.
1950's-1960's - Sock Hop and Beach Blast
Listen and dance the night away to the live music of the 40 Years After Band. Wear your poodle skirts, your favorite retro hair styles and enjoy the mood of yesteryear. Then when the mood strikes come on over to the "beach side" and feel free to join in and learn some shag moves as well as some other beach favorites and line dances. Take a stroll along the "boardwalk" and feast your eyes on the Aspiring Artist Exhibition, providing students the opportunity to display their work alongside professional artists!
1980's-1990's - Adrenaline Jam
Enjoy a heated tent complete with games galore. 18 screens including 15 -19" flat-panel HD monitors and 3- 32"-42" flat-panel monitors. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo game consoles and a wide assortment of game software for everyone.
2000's - Enchanted Idol
Join in the competition this New Year’s Eve as we crown our very own Enchanted Idol. All ages are welcome to audition in front of our panel of distinguished judges. Audition space is limited so call 387.6078 today for more information. The Enchanted Idol will win great prizes and lead the crowd in the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight.

40 Years After For three years, Joe Bass and Steve Devinney have brough 50s/60s Old Time Rock n' Roll music to those who are fortunate enough to have experienced it! Joe and Steve have known each other for 25 years, initially playing old time bluegrass and country music. Previously, Joe was the bass player and singer for "Meadow Creek Express" during the 70s and 80s. Steve has played country and old time music for years within the Craig County music community. |

Simply Jazz Liz Stone and Sheri Bernath have combined their talents in a tribute to the traditional jazz they love. They'll perform a wibderful medley of popular and well-loved tunes including such standards as "Skylark", "Cry Me a River", "Moonglow," "The Man I love", and Summertime."

Terry Cyns Terry's music is an energetuc adult contempoarary sound. Her original sounds are a smoothie from the blender of soft rock, country, latin and jazz. The mix is colorful and goes down easy, with a kick that catches you off guard.

Parades and Fireworks
Assemble at the corner of Washington Avenue and Pollard Street at 11:30pm to pick up your candles and safety cups. Enchanted Eve's colorful mascots will lead the processional which departs at 11:45 pm along Washington Avenue ending at the back of the Vinton War Memorial for a spectacular midnight fireworks display.
