We're proud to be the Roanoke Valley's regional service provider, as we partner with the City of Roanoke to provide top quality programs and services! Virginia Creeper Trail Bike Trip - Monday, October 19
This program is specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. Come with us to take a leisurely trek down the Virginia Creeper Trail and enjoy possibly the easiest, prettiest mountain bike ride you will ever encounter! Your program fee includes bike and helmet rental, shuttle service and a picnic lunch. Bring your own money for a fast food dinner on the way home. Program Fee: $44 (includes transportation (pickup points only), lunch and rental fees)
Yoga Fit - Mondays beginning October 26
This course is specifically designed for all therapeutic recreation participants.Come join us in this nurturing style of Gentle Yoga taught once again by Norma. This class will help students improve their breathing and to increase self-awareness, confidence, and independence. The class provides the student with structure as well as a playful and joyful approach to practicing yoga. This class is a great way to ease into a fitness routine, especially right before the holiday season! Transportation fee: $15
Holiday Dinner & Lights Tour - Dec 14 and Dec 15
This program is specially designed for adults with disabilities. Enjoy dinner at Cracker Barrel before traveling to Bedford and Liberty Park to see the Holiday Lights. Be prepared to sing holiday songs during the ride! Program fee includes dinner and transportation. Program fee: $28
Adaptive Skiing - January 11
Learn to ski!!! Head to Wintergreen and spend the day on the slopes. No experience- no problem, lessons and rental fees are included in the program fee. All Ability levels encouraged. Wintergreen's adaptive staff are trained to help new and returner skiers with typical as well as a variety of adaptive equipment. You are responsible for winter clothing. This is a full day trip, so transportation is available from pick-up points only. Pick-up points: Goodwill Salem, Goodwill Vinton, & Brambleton Center. Please call TRS staff for more information. Register by December 18th, 2009. Program fee: $93 Transportation fee: included
