Becoming a Park Partners Member Group
The Park Partners Program is designed to promote partnerships between neighborhood groups, businesses, schools, churches, organizations, clubs, associations and individuals. These partnerships will promote community involvement, improve park facilities and grounds, and result in greater park use and enjoyment. The program encourages citizens to volunteer their time, labor, and talents to the maintenance and improvement of the County’s parks, trails, greenways and green spaces.
An individual or group may become a Park Partner with the park, trail, greenway or landscape area of their choice or work with the Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department to select an area. Their commitment to the program is a minimum of two years except in the first year when all contracts are written through December 31.
Suggested maintenance may include removing litter, pulling weeds, painting, mulching, planting and general debris pick-up and removal at regular intervals throughout the year.
Volunteers will be recognized with a sign placed at the park location bearing the name of the individual or group that has become a Park Partner.

Donate to Park Partners
At Roanoke County Parks, we work hard to maintain some of the region's most beautiful recreation areas. However, as a tax-funded organization however we have extremely limited financial resources. Even if you're not part of one of our member groups, help improve your parks system by donating a park bench, tree, picnic table, or a financial contribution.
