DOING BUSINESS WITH ROANOKE COUNTY

Vendors interested in doing business with the County of Roanoke should read the new VENDOR'S GUIDE  (revised December 2007) to assist  them in understanding the Roanoke County procurement policies and practices and to assist them in how to do business with the County.

It is not mandatory to be registered with the County in order to submit a Bid or Proposal.  However, it is recommended and appreciated  that those interested in working with the County become registered in order to have all their paperwork complete.   Vendors should keep their registration current with their listed commodities in order to keep their active status.  Please click on Vendor Registration to register.

The County of Roanoke has a site where you can subscribe to receive email notifications when Bids/RFP's are posted.  In addition we have added a notification selection for Addendums to Bids/RFP's.  Addendums will only be issued through the email notification system.  It is the responsibility of all bidders to subcribe to the notification system to receive notices of addendums.  If you do not have an account, you will need to Login/Get Account and subscribe to the "Bids and RFP's (notification only)" and "Addendums (notification only)" categories at County Calendar/Email Notification site.

Bids and Proposals are advertised in the Roanoke Times Legal Advertising section, on the bulletin board in the Purchasing Office at Roanoke County Administration Center and can be found on the Bids and Proposals page.

Once bids are opened, the tabulations and notices of awards can be found on the  Bid Tabs and Awards page.
