When is my bulk and brush collection day?
Your bulk and brush is collected every other week on your normal garbage collection day. The program is operated on an A Week/B Week schedule. To determine whether your street is either an A Week or a B Week, please visit our Find Your Collection Page which also has a link to the calendar. To ensure that your material is collected every other week, please make sure all material is to the curb by 7:00 AM on the scheduled collection day.

May I haul material away myself if I have too much or don't want to wait?
Roanoke County residents may haul up to twenty (20) loads a year free of charge to the Tinker Creek Transfer Station. Material generated from normal household activities is allowed, including 4 tires off the rims and small amounts of homeowner generated building material. The vehicle must be a 3/4 ton pickup or less. Concrete, roofing shingles, brick, dirt, and rocks are not included in the Homeowner Disposal Program, but may be taken to the Transfer Station for a fee. Items resulting from contracted work are not including the Homeowner Disposal Program either. The Transfer Station is located at 1020 Hollins Road.
