Our Commitment to Excellence
Roanoke County ECC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. There are less than 100 public safety communications centers nationwide with this distinction. Furthermore, all ECC Communications Officers maintain CPR and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification. EMD enables a Communications Officer to assist citizens over the phone with medical instructions until a first responder can treat the patient.
