Clean Valley Council
The Clean Valley Council (CVC)
provides educational programming and citizen participation events to spread the word about litter prevention, recycling, wastestream reduction, stormwater pollution prevention, and protecting our natural resources.
CVC also provides educational resources and programming for school systems, the public, and municipalities in the cities of Roanoke and Salem, the counties of Botetourt and Roanoke, and the Town of Vinton. This mandate is based on the Commonwealth of Virginia's policy to protect its atmosphere, lands, and waters from pollution, impairment, or destruction for the benefit, enjoyment, and general welfare of the people of the commonwealth.
The Board of Directors shall have a maximum of 21 members, and the terms shall be for two years.
