Finance Department Reports
The Finance Department issues yearly reports which include the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), Department Annual Report (DAR), and Finance Business Plan.
As part of the budget process, each department must establish a business plan that identifies its goals and objectives and a department annual report that focuses on services and activities provided to both internal and external customers and citizens. These are published by Management and Budget
in the yearly Annual Fiscal Plan.
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared by the Finance Department in accordance with the standards of financial reporting as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the Auditor of Public Accounts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (APA). The CAFR is a detailed presentation of the county’s financial position and activities for the fiscal year.
