Concealed handgun applications are available from the Roanoke County Circuit Court, 305 East Main Street, Salem, Virginia 24153 (2nd floor of the Courthouse, Room 200). You may download the application from the Virginia Department of State Police.

Please read and follow all instructions carefully.

FOR APPLICATIONS FILED IN THE ROANOKE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT
1. The filing fee is $50.00.

2. Proof of training pursuant to VA Code 18.2-308(G) is required.

3. If the permit is granted, the Clerk's Office will mail your permit to you.

In order to maintain your authorization, applications for permit renewal should be submitted to the Court at least 45 days prior to expiration of the current permit.
