9-1-1 Jobs

Roanoke County currently hires new Communications Officers to work in their 9-1-1 center twice a year.  We typically host a career day in February and August of every year.  These dates may change depending on our current staffing levels so make sure to check our website regularly for further information.

Career day is an all day event where we test your ability to join our team.  We will give you a brief introduction to our center, allow you to listen to actual calls we have taken in the center, have you take three tests (two written and one computerized) to test your skill level and conduct initial interviews on this day.

Our next career day will most likely be scheduled for a day in August 2013.  You will be able to apply online as soon as we open the hiring process.
