The facts about an unsolved crime are regularly publicized by TV, radio, newspaper and public notices. You are asked to call CRIME Line
if you have any information about this or any other crime. All calls are kept in complete confidence. When you call you are given a number so that you remain anonymous.
If your information leads to an arrest and indictment, you are eligible to receive a reward of up to $1,000.00, through your identifying number. No one ever knows your name.
The program is run by the citizens and business people of the community. It is administered through valley wide cooperation among the police departments of Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Vinton, Salem, and Botetourt County. In hundreds of cities across America, the program has recovered millions of dollars in stolen property and helped to deter crime.

How do you know what should be reported about schools to CRIME Line
? Any violence or planned violence, threats of suicide, theft, drug possession or distribution, weapons at school, sexual harassment, damage to property, and graffiti should be reported. Please help to make our schools safe.
