Established by Resolution 85-151.N on September 10, 1985 by the Board of Supervisors.

COMPOSITION:

To consist of two members from each Magisterial District and one member to serve as at large representative.  Terms shall expire on June 30th of each year. Upon expiration of their original terms of office, each succeeding term shall be for three years.

DUTIES:

Make recommendations for the establishment of a system of supervised recreation for the County.        

Set apart for use as parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, water areas, or other recreation areas and structures, any lands or buildings owned by or leased to the County and for approval by the Board of Supervisors; may suggest improvements of such lands and for the construction and equipping and staffing of such buildings and structures.         

Advise in the acceptance by the County of any grant, gift, bequest or donation, any personal or real property offered.        

Advise in the construction, equipping, operation and maintenance of parks, playgrounds, recreation centers·        

Advise in regard to other recreation facilities which are owned or controlled by the unit or leased or loaned to the unit.
