Who Can Join the Friends?

     You, your friends, your neighbors - anyone who believes in the value of libraries - can belong to the Friends.
     FOL members offer support to the Library in a variety of ways. Several help by volunteering; others act as advocates in public forums; some participate in fund raising activities; and still others make their contribution simply by joining. The choice is yours when you're a Friend!
     It's easy to join and it's a bargain. Dues are just $15 per year, per person, or $20 for families. Simply print this form, fill it out and return it, along with your payment, to any County branch library.

FOL Tax Deduction

The Friends of the Roanoke County Public Library (FOL) organization is
 classified  as a 501 (c) (3) in accordance with the U.S. Tax Code.  Generally
your membership contribution in the FOL is tax deductible but there are
exceptions when the full amount is not tax deductible (e.g. when the contributor
receives some type of benefit).  Please read IRS Publication 526 at
http://www.irs.gov/publications/p526/ar02.html#en_US_publink100049651
to
determine what part of your contribution may not be eligible.  If you are still
unsure, it is recommended that you contact a tax advisor or the IRS by telephone.
