Purchasing
The Purchasing Division of the Finance Department is responsible for the centralized acquisition of goods, services, and construction for the County of Roanoke and serves as the purchasing agent for Roanoke County Schools for all items not pertaining to construction, which are handled by the schools. Our mission is to provide a professional system of purchasing that emphasizes quality, integrity and the fair and equitable treatment of all persons involved in the public purchasing process. The Purchasing Division also manages the disposition of Roanoke County surplus property.
The Purchasing Division is dedicated to meeting our mission through the following guiding principles:
