The Roanoke County Public Library offers Notary Public services free of charge at the Glenvar Library. 

Please call ahead to determine the availability of the notary at 540-387-6163.

A Notary Public is a state official who is authorized to witness the signing of important documents, administer oaths & certify copies of certain documents.  All signers of documents must be present and provide a current and valid government issued photo identification. 

Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary (please do not sign them beforehand).  You must bring your own witnesses.

The Notary may decline to notarize a document for any reason.
