Summer Reading Program
The Summer Reading Program has gone virtual! We are inviting all ages to join in on our reading goal of 15,000 books (originally 3,000 books) as a community! In the first month of the Summer Reading Program, participants doubled the goal by reading over 6,000 books and now the Friends of the Roanoke County Public Library, the sponsors of the Summer Reading Program, challenges the community to read 15,000 books.
If the new goal is met, the Friends will donate $1,000 to Feeding America Southwest Virginia. The Summer Reading Program goes through August 8 and is for all ages.
To complete the program and earn a prize you only need to read 3 books! Every book, ebook, audiobook, eaudiobook, and magazine counts. Visit our eCollection to browse titles for all ages.
