Purpose
The majority of employee / employer problems can be settled to the satisfaction of both through informal discussion between the employee and the supervisor. If not, a grievance procedure may be used. This procedure provides an immediate and fair method for the resolution of disputes and complaints that arise out of the employee / employer relationship.The final step of this procedure involves requesting a hearing before the Grievance Panel.
Composition
The Grievance Panel consists of three members and four alternate members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors for terms of three years.
