Library Board (appointed by District)

Purpose

The Library Board exists in accordance with the requirements of the General Code of Virginia and is required to abide by the general laws of Virginia governing the free public library services and work in accordance with any rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Supervisors of Roanoke County.

Composition

The Library Board consists of at least five members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, each representing a magisterial district. Members serve four-year terms and may only serve three consecutive terms.
