COVID-19 Vaccine

(Monday, January 11, 2021) The Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts (RCAHD) are pleased to announce that it is working with community partners to ensure a smooth transition into Phase 1b starting on Monday, January 11, 2021. This phase will focus on the prioritization strategies as outlined by the Governor and as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and adopted by Virginia Disaster Medical Advisory Committee and the Vaccine Advisory Workgroup. More information about who is eligible and what phase Virginia is in at any given time will be posted at www.vdh.virginia.gov/covid-19-vaccine/

What are the Phases of the Vaccination Response?

Phase 1a
Health Care Personnel, Long Term Care Facility residents.
Phase 1b
Essential Workers (ie: Education Sector, Food & Agriculture, Utilities, Police, Firefighters, Corrections Officers, Transportation).
Phase 1c

Adults with high-risk medical conditions, Adults 65 and older.
