The Planning Commission, an advisory board to the Board of Supervisors, makes recommendations on a variety of land use issues. The Commission is also charged with preparing and maintaining the Comprehensive Plan and recommending changes to reflect new land use policies. One Commissioner is appointed for each Magisterial District.
Roanoke County Planning Commission Members
Unless otherwise noted, all Planning Commission meetings are held at the Roanoke County Administration Center, 5204 Bernard Drive. See the Planning Commission Work Session and Public Hearing Dates for specific days. Meetings are typically held as noted below except for October, November, and December.
