Study Overview

To continue to implement components of the 419 Town Center Plan, Roanoke County is undertaking a study to determine appropriate safety, pedestrian and/or bicycle improvements for Starkey Road (between Ogden Road and Electric Road) and Ogden Road (between Electric Road and the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks). 

Winter 2024 Community Meeting

A second community meeting was held on February 15th, 2024, at the Roanoke County Administration Center to receive feedback on proposed transportation and streetscape improvement concepts.  A total of 21 people attended the meeting. Fall 2023 Community Meeting

A community meeting was held on October 19th, 2023, at the Roanoke County Administration Center to gather feedback on desired streetscape improvements. Twelve business owners and area residents attended the meeting.  89 respondents completed the survey to provide feedback and comments on desired streetscape improvements.

Recommendations from this study will be used to request grant funding in August 2024 for project design and construction.
