Our Path to ReopeningGlenvar, Hollins, South County, and Vinton Libraries have reopened by reservation for County residents. Make your reservation for one hour time slots via our website or by calling your favorite library location. The library will close for cleaning from 1:00pm-2:00pm each day. New UpdatesStarting May 1, Glenvar and South County open until 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Libraries will continue close from 1-2pm for sanitizing. South County will also have a meeting room available for small groups to reserve.

Starting May 17, the hours listed above will apply to the Hollins Library. Hollins will also begin accepting reservations for their meeting room for small groups.

Virtual Author Talk with Lucinda Robb and Rebecca Boggs RobertsJoin authors and women’s history experts Rebecca Boggs Roberts and Lucinda Robb as they discuss their new title, The Suffragists Playbook: Your guide to changing the world. Roanoke County Public Library will host the program via Zoom on Thursday, May 6 at 6:30pm, during which the authors will share strategies the Suffragists used in gaining women the right to vote, strategies that can be applied to any movement or cause. Chalk Art Program @ VintonJoin us at Vinton and participate in a chalk art program with the theme spread seeds of kindness. Chalk will be provided. Happening now! Swing by Bent Mountain (Wednesdays from 10am-2pm and Fridays from 1pm-5pm) and Mt. Pleasant (Tuesdays from 1pm-5pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm) for sidewalk browsing this spring. Carts will be placed along the outside of the buildings for you to browse and check out materials. Services are weather permitting. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
