October 21, 2020, 8:00 AM - October 31, 2020 @ This is a virtual public engagement opportunity. See the VDOT Project Webpage for project materials and ways to comment.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking public comments about a project that is under development to convert the “T” intersection at Starkey Road (Route 904) and Buck Mountain Road (Route 679) to a single-lane roundabout with crosswalks and sidewalks. The purpose of the project is to enhance traffic flow, reduce delays and accommodate future growth. Approximately 8,600 vehicles use this intersection daily with significant congestion occurring during peak travel times.
You are invited to learn more by viewing information on VDOT’s website at www.virginiadot.org/StarkeyRoadRoundabout. Please use online comment forms to submit your comments or ask questions of VDOT staff between October 21, 2020 and October 31, 2020.
If you have questions for Roanoke County staff, please contact Megan Cronise using the phone number and email link provided to the right.
