International Police Mountain Biking Association (IPMBA) Police Cyclist Course

The course is a physically demanding on-bike class which will train officers as a Police Cyclist using the IPMBA curriculum. Students will be expected to have basic on-bike skills, as well as be in good physical condition. Students should be prepared to ride around 15 to 20 miles a day while maintaining a steady pace. The course will include firearms drills, and the class will conclude on Friday May 10th at 1230.
The cost of the course is $300.00 dollars per student, all travel fees and arrangements will be the responsibility of each individual agency. Storage of bicycles will be available in a locked area during the course if needed.
Prerequisites: Law enforcement officer, currently employed by a law enforcement agency; basic bicycle-handling skills; good physical condition
Firearms: There will be a firearms portion taught on the Friday of the course, this portion is optional for students. It they plan to attend they will need a gun belt, vest and 100 rounds of practice ammo.
Lodging: No specific lodging is setup for this class of instruction, but recommendations can be made upon registration.
