The Real Estate Valuation Office employs a staff of eight full-time appraisers. They are members of the Virginia Association of Assessing Officers (VAAO) and other professional organizations.
Assessments
Six appraisers are responsible for the assessments of single family dwellings and agricultural properties. Two appraisers are responsible for the assessments of commercial, industrial, and multi-family parcels within the County.
Land Use Coordinator
A full-time Land Use Coordinator is available to assist property owners who wish to participate in the County's Land Use Program. One Program Support Specialist is available to assist citizens and members of the business community with requests for information, including the scheduling of Board of Equalization hearings.
