To check out library material, you must have a Roanoke Valley Library Card. Material is due back in the library or in the return book drop on or before the specified due date unless renewed. Renewals may be made in person, by telephone or online.
No Late Fees on Library Materials
Effective July 1, 2022, overdue fines will no longer be charged on materials checked out at any Roanoke Valley Library branches, and that old fines accrued prior to that date will be canceled. The only case where patrons will be charged for items is if they are lost or damaged while checked out. Most items are considered lost after 28-days.
