Roanoke County currently offers several recycling drop off locations, which are emptied Monday through Saturday. Citizens may place their recyclables in the trailers on Sundays. Trailers are located at Glade Creek Park (Vinton), Glenvar Middle School (Catawba), Hollins University (Hollins), Brambleton Recreation Center (Windsor Hills), and Cox Communications (Cave Spring). In addition, Roanoke County residents are able to take recyclables to the Tinker Creek Transfer Station during their normal hours of operation.

Please only place accepted recyclable items in the designated bins. Other material will contaminate the load and it will not be recycled. All locations accept mixed paper, aluminum, and plastics #1 and #2. Mixed paper includes newsprint, office paper, magazines, and cardboard. Please break down cardboard boxes to maximize storage space in our recycling trailers.
