In Roanoke County, an approved erosion and sediment control plan is required for any land-disturbing activity that exceeds 2,500 square feet of land disturbance.

Call the Roanoke County Permits Counter at 540-772-2065 to request an initial or final erosion & sediment control inspection.
For a non-residential site to pass its final erosion & sediment control inspection, all vegetated areas must have adequate, permanent vegetation, which is (1) uniform in height; (2) thick enough to prevent erosion, and (3) mature enough to survive.
