Roanoke County currently offers several recycling drop off locations, which are emptied Sunday through Saturday. In addition, Roanoke County residents are able to take recyclables to the Tinker Creek Transfer Station during their normal hours of operation.
Hollins University recycling area will be closed December 1-3, 2023, due to an event on the campus.
Please only place accepted recyclable items in the designated bins. Other material will contaminate the load and it will not be recycled. All locations accept mixed paper, aluminum, and plastics #1 and #2. Please break down cardboard boxes to maximize storage space in our recycling trailers.
